Outside of dentistry Smita is a devoted mother, involved in local activities and charity events, a volunteer teacher of Hindi classes, enjoys international adventure travel and is a passionate salsa dancer. She would be only too happy to show you some of her dance moves, although best done whilst not drilling!
She is also a real health NUT, recently completing the “Tough Mudder “event (http://toughmudder.co.uk/) a hard-core 12 mile-long obstacle courses designed by the Special Forces (honestly, where the energy comes from?) She is the drive and inspiration for all who hear her and will tell you, “If I can do it, so can you, so get out there and just go for it!”
Smita qualified from the University of Birmingham Dental School in 1997.
She holds a diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons (MFGDP RCS) and possesses extensive experience in both the UK and Australia.

Smita is also a director of Samera Ltd which helps dentists throughout the UK improve the delivery of dentistry.
